With A Poem And A Pint & Furness Tradition
2 November 2019 | 6:30pm – 10pm | £8
Dalton Community Centre
21 Nelson Street, Dalton-in-Furness, LA15 8AF
Our big day ends with a bang … well, with poetry, storytelling, music and dancing!
From 6:30pm to 8pm our friends at Poem and a Pint are running an Open Mic hosted by Caroline Gilfillan, when anyone can read one of their own poems. Some local poets of renown will be there to set the trend but anyone can have a slot too.
At 8pm all changes – seating and atmosphere – as Furness Tradition run a rousing Ceilidh. There will be storytelling from Dominic Kelly and Nick Hennessey, music from musicians of Furness Tradition Community Band playing local tunes, and dancing from … well, you, if you are there.
We will provide some wine and nibbles but you can bring your own drinks if you prefer.
